Architecture watercolors

Ok, so I'm a little cheater cheater pumpkin eater, but when I heard Rusty say that combining watercolor and line art was almost idiot proof, I decided it was defiantly worth a shot. This one above is my favorite that I did this weekend. They were all modeled after the round barn (except for the crappy chicken coop)

This one has pretty heavy application but I do like the vivid colors. I don't like that there isn't a focal point, but when you're supposed to shit these things out overtime ya turn around, you cant expect perfection .

The lay of the land

I know it may appear that this was #10, but it was really #1. Yeiks, not a great sign of thats to come. This was supposed to be my gravel road. Fail.

Man, it's not quite as good a Terry's but luckily, I have painted 20,4080 triangles, so I was able to bust this one out. all jokes aside, my yellow green is pretty nasty, but one of my favorite colors hehe oops? 

Architectural Drawings

I broke my architectural drawings into two parts: the "work series" and the "home series".

The two drawing above were inspired by the tin ceilings at the shoppe I work at on the down town square. They are much more beautiful and intricate than my representation.

These are in the back room at the place I work at. The window by the steamer and the funky stairs up to where we put dresses in layaway. (BT Dubs, totes not a bad employee that draws while Im on the job all the time, but I had some down time after I finished my dress shoppe duties) [bt dubs dubs, if you are reading this and need an awesome dress, I can hooks you up with a 10% discount for Truman students!]

Calf Barn- Back yard/ pasture 

Variations of the Round Barn on Rt.P by my house. (Not to be confused with Red Barn - even though the Round barn has recently been painted red) This is a really cool building where really cool blues festivals happen twice a year. Beer and Blues, ahh Heaven in Kirksville :)

Shelby, get your guns

For the 10 variations of a drawing from direct observation, I chose to do one of my dad's muzzleloaders. They are really beautiful guns, but I don't think that the small scale of the 8.5" X 5.5" did them much justice. As well as my hesitant drawing skills.
